Kitchen Table Talk with Hollywood Khan: Stories from the Inside Man.

Firsthand stories from music, film, Formula 1 and business. The current David Bowie series follows Khan's personal encounters with Bowie and Shel Talmy, the journey of unreleased recordings releasing September 18, 2026 by Warner Music and and the negotiations behind the music — with original emails, agreements and photographs along the way.

From the 100 million dollar Labatt–Fox film fund to five years with Adnan Khashoggi, Khan shares the relationships, ambitions and turning points behind his experiences. Selling a building Khashoggi owned that would house the FOM Formula One head office in London, UK. Oscar winning films. The White House meeting that opened every door.

Filmmaker. Director. Singer-Songwriter. Through Merlins Energy Source — a fully owned Merlins Sports company — Hollywood Khan is relaunching Merlins Energy Beverage globally into a 280 billion dollar functional natural beverage market. Through Merlins F-Labs, he is bringing EU-GMP approved peptides to a 164 billion dollar longevity and performance market — science-backed, globally certified, built for peak human optimization.

Filmed simply, told personally. Stories from the inside, shared at the kitchen table.

After receiving guitars made by Phillip Jarrell, Bowie requested that they be gifted to Lewis Hamilton. Hollywood recalls Bowie’s admiration for Lewis’s extraordinary talent and his determination to claim his place in a sport with so little representation for people of colour.
At the time, those helping deliver the gift did not know of Bowie’s condition. His death seven months later gave the gesture an even deeper significance. For the first time, Hollywood reveals that a note from Bowie accompanied the guitars—but never made it to Lewis.
The story takes us inside Formula One and Hollywood’s relationship with its legendary impresario, Bernie Ecclestone—including selling Bernie his business partner Adnan Khashoggi’s building at Princes Gate. These are the connections behind “Stories from the Inside Man.”
Featuring never-before-seen photographs of Hamilton fans with the guitar before its delivery to Bernie, the episode captures the effort, excitement and personal moments behind bringing Bowie’s gift to Lewis.
The episode closes with Lewis Hamilton playing guitar alongside Canadian singer Savana, singing lyrics by Hollywood Khan mixed by Hollywood Khan over Lewis Hamilton test driving the guitar.
The journey continues throughout 2027 with The Bowie Table, Hollywood Khan’s musical reinterpretations of David Bowie’s recordings with producer Shel Talmy, and a silent dance film—an independent celebration of Bowie’s enduring inspiration.
A gift, a missing note, and an inside story of David Bowie’s generosity.

More than three decades later, The Shel Talmy Recordings have reached No. 3 on the UK Official Albums Chart, while Bowie has reached the milestone of 100 charting titles — joining Elvis Presley.
For Hollywood Khan, it brings an extraordinary journey full circle: David Bowie, the avant-garde artist. Shel Talmy, the producer. Hollywood Khan, the dreamer.
From Black Tie White Noise to the lost early recordings, from a seven-year journey to their eventual release — and now, Bowie and Elvis connected by a remarkable chart milestone.
A deeply personal Kitchen Table Talk told slowly, imperfectly and from the heart.
No script. No polish. Just the story as it was remembered.

A seven-year journey following Hollywood Khan’s involvement with the rare 1965 recordings made by a young David Jones with legendary producer Shel Talmy — recordings from the period in which Jones became David Bowie.
Through personal recollections, archival material, emails, agreements and documentation, Khan traces the journey from discovering the recordings and exploring new ways to bring them to the world, through changing technology and the rise and collapse of the NFT market, to his suggestion that the recordings find a home with Warner Music.
In 2026, the journey reaches its conclusion as the Shel Talmy recordings are released through Parlophone/Rhino and become available to listeners around the world.
Rare recordings. Real stories. A global journey.

Hollywood Khan is back on the streets of Toronto — this time outside the Ritz-Carlton during TIFF, inside the Merlins INEOS Grenadier that's become a mobile Kitchen Table.
Fresh off a conversation about Dominican Republic coffee with entrepreneur Franklyn and former Toronto Blue Jays star José Bautista, Hollywood is joined by Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Leah of Vagus Clinic founded by Dr. Stephanie a Toronto-based clinic helping shape the medical framework for Merlins F-Labs' emerging peptide initiative.
What starts as a shared love of coffee quickly opens into a candid conversation about health, recovery, longevity — and the rapidly expanding world of peptide therapeutics, a global market estimated at
164 billion in 2026 and projected to approach
300 billion by 2033.
Dr. Stephanie and Dr. Leah bring a clear message: individualized clinical evaluation matters, and the future of wellness is personal.
And the setting carries its own story. More than a decade ago, this exact spot was where Hollywood Khan created The Bowie Table during the Toronto opening of David Bowie Is at TIFF 2013. Now it's the proving ground for something new.

Journey to September 18, 2026.

The NFT market has collapsed. But the mission to bring Shel Talmy’s early David Bowie recordings to the world continues.

In this episode, I share why news of the Bowie estate’s publishing catalogue deal with Warner Chappell looked like the opening we had been waiting for—and why I suggested approaching Warner about Shel’s recordings.

With discussions moving slowly and Shel growing impatient, another idea takes shape. I’m in Stockholm, the Rolling Stones are in town, and I see a possibility: could Mick Jagger help bring a fresh interpretation to these early recordings of his old friend?

An approach is made. But with the Stones busy working on their own album and strict COVID protocols surrounding the band, the answer comes back no. We keep moving.

Through personal recollections and correspondence, this chapter follows the ideas, introductions and setbacks along the road towards release.

The episode closes with a brief excerpt of “I Do Believe,” an early David Bowie demo produced by Shel Talmy.

Next: The Finish Line. The story takes a heartbreaking turn before Shel’s dream is finally realised.

The deal was signed. Then the NFT market collapsed.

In this three-minute episode of Kitchen Table Talk with Hollywood Khan, I share the next chapter in my efforts to help bring David Bowie’s early, unreleased recordings with producer Shel Talmy to listeners.

The NFT project had offered a possible route. As that market unravelled, we had to consider what could come next—and how to keep the music moving forward.

Original emails float across the screen as I tell the story. If you want to explore the correspondence, pause, zoom and read.

Hollywood Khan takes you inside his work with legendary producer Shel Talmy to bring Bowie’s early recordings to the fans. From the NFT idea to a signed deal, this is the story told by the man who helped bring it together.
In this episode, Khan pauses the story so you can hear a few seconds of “I Do Believe,” an early David Bowie demo recorded by Shel Talmy. A glimpse of the music behind the deal.
The agreement was signed. The window was short. The NFT race was on.

Hollywood Khan reconnects with Shel Talmy—the visionary producer behind The Who and The Kinks—and begins exploring an audacious new future for his unreleased recordings. As the NFT market explodes, music producer Tim Thorney helps evaluate the condition of the tapes, while a former Death Row Records executive brings the emerging digital world into focus.

But before approaching a multibillion-dollar company, Hollywood makes one critical move: protecting Shel’s interests through a formal consulting agreement.

The recordings were no longer simply sitting in a vault. They were beginning a journey.

Next episode: Hollywood Khan walks Shel Talmy’s legacy through the doors of Authentic Brands Group—the global powerhouse that would later acquire a majority stake in Drake’s OVO.

Hollywood Khan takes you inside one of the most unlikely chains of events in music and television history — from a Fox Records idea pitched to Rupert Murdoch, intimate conversations with Bowie about books and Hanif Kureishi's The Buddha of Suburbia, a devastating earthquake that wiped out everything, to a life-changing phone call that changed it all.
The Rolling Stones didn't want MTV. Hollywood Khan suggested Fox. On August 1, 1994, the opening night of the Voodoo Lounge tour aired live as FOX ROCKS.

One extraordinary story.
It begins with Sebastian Vettel and a guitar handmade by legendary songwriter and craftsman Phillip Jarrell—a special gift intended for Mick Jagger.
After meeting Sebastian in Montreal, I invited him to a sold-out Rolling Stones 50th-anniversary show. He asked if his entire team could attend. Somehow, we made it happen.
Later, with the help of Bretta, I took Phillip’s guitar into the Formula 1 paddock in Barcelona, where Sebastian signed it for Mick—and left a personal message on the back. I then carried it through London customs before delivering it to Mick Jagger’s office.
For this episode, I wear the same Comme des Garçons jacket from that Rolling Stones evening—a piece from the influential Japanese fashion house founded by Rei Kawakubo. The original event credentials remain attached to it, preserving another small piece of the story.
Today, the story comes full circle at Monza.
Sebastian Vettel returns to a Formula 1 cockpit to drive Michael Schumacher’s legendary Ferrari F2002—one of the most dominant cars in Formula 1 history and the machine in which Schumacher secured his fifth World Championship.
It is more than a demonstration lap. Vettel grew up idolizing Schumacher, later became a four-time World Champion himself and raced for Ferrari. Now he drives Michael’s car around Monza as Ferrari marks 30 years since Schumacher’s first season with the Scuderia.
A guitar for Jagger.
A Ferrari for Schumacher.
And Sebastian Vettel connecting three legends across music, friendship and Formula 1 history.
This journey will conclude at the end of the Formula 1 season with one final Kitchen Table Talk: the remarkable story of my lunch with Enzo Ferrari.
Please subscribe and join me as these untold stories continue—from music and film to Formula 1, Ferrari and the people who shaped history.

On March 11, 1992, I threw a party with Sid Oland as my guest of honor. We had a $100 million film fund with 20th Century Fox — $50 million from our side and $50 million from Fox — and relationships across film, music, sports and television.

Sid wasn’t simply the CEO of Labatt. He was Chairman of the Toronto International Film Festival, while Labatt’s interests stretched across the Toronto Blue Jays, Formula 1 through its relationship with the Williams team, broadcasting, concert promotion, recording and post-production.

The Rolling Stones were already part of that world. Their Steel Wheels concert film, Rolling Stones: Live at the Max, had Toronto and IMAX connections — another example of how music, film and technology were beginning to converge.

So why invite the Oscar nominees?

Because they were already in Hollywood, Sid was Chairman of TIFF, we had a major film fund with 20th Century Fox, and relationships mattered. We wanted to make the Toronto International Film Festival bigger and build a much larger entertainment presence spanning film and music.

Then I added something else to the mix.

David Bowie and Iman walked through the door.

That changed the evening — and helped open another chapter.
